Berlin and particularly Mitte offers numerous exciting running trails.
Pass the landmark of the city to explore Berlin at your own pace. A few running tips can be found here and the suggested running routes can be printed out. The running routes are prepared for you at the reception.
Berlin Marathon
The BMW Berlin Marathon is a German road and cross-country race, which takes place every year during the last week of September in Berlin. The route consists of a race for inline skaters (42.195 km) and a mini-marathon (4.2195 km) for children and students on Saturday, and the Marathon for wheelchair users, power walkers and runners on Sunday.
The marathon in Berlin is in addition to the events in New York and London, one of the largest and alongside London and Chicago, one of the fastest races in the world. The official IAAF world records of the men of Paul Tergat (2003, 2:04:55 h), Haile Gebrselassie (2008, 2:03:59 h), Patrick Makau Musyoki (2011, 2:03: 38 h) and Wilson Kiprotich Kipsang (2013) set 2:03:23 was ranked here since 2003.
